Booklet:
A 16 page booklet comprised with works of Alberto Mielgo.
It contains a thorough style study and contains information that
marks the artist’s history, biography and philosophy in creating artwork.

Process:
I first surveyed our school library for visual resources that could inspire a variety of booklet compositions.
I then created sketches that outlined the possible routes in visual compositions that I could take the booklet.
Out of the sketches I created a some spreads, but none of them really had a visual cohesion that I was looking for.
As a result, I went back to the drawingboard and created some sketchs of page layouts.
Out of the different page layouts, here is one of them that I went from sketch to digital.
In terms of this biography page, I chose to separate the movie frame page and dedicate a full spread for Mielgo.
I wanted to incorporate more images of his work (self portraits) and a timeline for his biography page.
I wanted some negative space, so I decided to incorporate the timeline in place of the first text block.
